Eastside Heroes Vol. 1: Game development in Slovakia

Games play an integral part in the creative and cultural industries. The ingenious combination of technology and visual arts, screenwriting, and many other topics is one of the fastest-growing business sectors today. Computer and mobile games are becoming increasingly popular across all age groups.

What does game development look like in Slovakia? Is it possible to build a game development studio in Košice? What are the greatest joys, worries, and challenges in this line of work, and what does the future look like in the game world? We will talk about the games and their development with Peter Nagy from the Grindstone studio that has successfully completed several games.

Eastside Heroes is a series of events that presents the best of eastern Slovakia in the world of business, startups, culture, and art. It was created as part of the Košice 2.0 project and its task is to motivate people in the East when starting their business, advise them on how to overcome initial obstacles, find inspiration and new opportunities for cooperation.
