Open data for the citizens of Košice

  • 19:00 - 20:00

What benefits does open data offer people? What will the citizens have from accessing urban data? We talk a lot about why municipalities should make their data available and how to do it. An important point in opening data is also informing the public about their existence and benefits.

The City of Košice, together with other partners, is currently actively working on creating an Open Data Platform within the Košice 2.0 project. We want to show that open data is useful for all of us during this event, as it may bring a lot of great things in the future for us – the people of Košice.

During the discussion, our guests will present specific solutions and applications that were created thanks to the open data and simplify the lives of many people today. The discussion will also include a small survey of what data Košice residents are more interested in.

It is necessary to register in advance for the event via the form.

Matej Lukáč is a UI / UX & process flow designer. When traveling on public transport every day, he lacked the feeling that we were already in the 21st century, so he came up with the concept of a simple app, subsequently created by nolimit | DEVELOPERS. Today, they transformed the original app into the MHDAPP.sk platform and merged it with Tiketor.com, whose goal is to digitize and open public transport.
